Cannington Church of England Primary School is a warm, inclusive and ambitious village school rooted in Christian values and known for its nurturing, family centred ethos. We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and dedicated teacher to join us as our mixed year 3 and 4 class teacher. This role within our school, is initially for a fixed term but we hope to be able to extend this. Please enquire for more information.
About our school
Cannington C of E Primary School is a thriving, inclusive village primary with around 170 pupils, serving the local community since 1856. We are proud of our close links with St Mary’s Church and the Diocese of Bath & Wells and are rated Good for leadership, behaviour and attitudes. We are committed to meeting the needs of all learners, including the 17.2% of pupils (29 children) identified with SEND, who benefit from strong support and inclusive practice across the school. Our current attendance sits at 95.1%, reflecting pupils’ enjoyment of school and the strength of our pastoral systems. In addition, 15% of our pupils (26 children) are eligible for Pupil Premium funding, and we work proactively to ensure this group achieves highly and thrives both academically and socially.

This is a full-time teaching post where you will:
- Model excellent classroom practice

- Maintain positive relationships with pupils and families through practical teaching and learning experiences
