What will I be doing?
Our small, friendly, rural school is looking for a caring, reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Morning School Support Assistant. This varied role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and being part of a busy, friendly school environment.
The role includes:
- Supporting our Breakfast Club from 8:00am, helping to prepare, supervise and engage children in a calm and welcoming start to the day
- Light cleaning duties between 8:40am – 9:00am, including clearing away breakfast items and mopping the hall floor
- Providing 1:1 support from 9:00am as a Teaching Assistant for a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Supervising pupils during lunchtime, including playground duty, ensuring children are safe, happy and included
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
- Is patient, kind and supportive with children
- Has a positive attitude and good communication skills
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Ideally has experience working with children and/or SEN
- Is willing to undertake light cleaning duties as part of the role
This is a rewarding position for someone who wants to make a real difference in a child’s school day, from breakfast through to lunchtime.
Training and support will be provided. All appointments are subject to safeguarding checks and an enhanced DBS.
The successful candidate will need to be caring, with good communication skills, be self-motivated and enjoy working with children.
