We are seeking to appoint an outstanding manager to Little Pips Nursery and The Nest based within our lovely school setting. You will play a key role in leading and shaping the future of early years education in an environment designed to inspire outstanding learning and development. You will be an integral part of something special, creating a nurturing, innovative indoor and outdoor space where every child can truly thrive.
Our Nursery is open five days a week, all year round for children aged 3 months to 4 years. The post is for 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:30am and 5.45pm all year. The salary scale is Grade 12 on the School Support Staff Pay Scale commencing at £25,598 pa (£14.82 per hour) to £32,061pa (£16.62 per hour) dependent on experience.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We are looking for:
- A minimum Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification, alongside at least two years experience working with children. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or equivalent is preferable.
- A manager to be responsible for the efficient day-to-day running of the Nursery and overall delivery of a high-quality education from children aged 3 months to 4 years.
- Experience in leading a team/supervising a team sharing excellent practice and learning from others.
- Paediatric First Aid: The manager must hold current paediatric first aid certificate.
- Safeguarding Lead: The manager shoukd have advanced safeguarding and child protection training to act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). Training will be provded if not already held.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with children, staff and parents
- A manager who is able to enthuse and inspire children.
- A manager who works closely with parents and carers and continues to build strong relationships with the whole school team.
