St. John’s C of E VC Infants’ School and Jumping Johns Nursery are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative, and committed PE Coach to support and develop PE provision across the school and nursery. This is a full-time position commencing in September 2026.
Based in Glastonbury, the school and nursery provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 2–7 years. They are committed to encouraging a love of learning through play, exploration, and discovery. The setting benefits from excellent facilities, including a swimming pool, extensive outdoor grounds, and a paddock area that supports outdoor learning and nature-based activities.
What will I be doing?
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality PE across the Nursery and School, ensuring provision aligns with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 curriculum requirements, and Ofsted expectations. The role will also involve delivering targeted interventions and coaching support for SEND pupils, covering PPA time, and running before- and after-school clubs to promote extracurricular sports activities and encourage children’s participation in physical activity beyond the curriculum.
