- Grade 14 FTE £25,185, Actual Salary £21,567 per annum
- 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8.30 – 4.30pm, Friday 8.30 – 4.00pm. Due to the nature of the role, there will be some evening and weekend work required to assist with Performing Art productions and rehearsals.
- Term time only, 38 weeks per year plus 5 days, 1 day to be the 1st inset day in September and 1 day to include exam results day.
What will I be doing?
To ensure the safeguarding of students and make a significant contribution to their efforts to both ‘enjoy and achieve’.
Proactively supports and where appropriate, leads the technical support, delivery and development of performing arts and media-based ICT enabled learning across the school and within the wider community
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
• Experience of working in a similar technical support role within an education environment, theatre or similar setting or experience in media technology.
• Knowledge of lighting systems, lighting control apparatus, lighting equipment and its maintenance, refurbishment and use.
• Knowledge of theatre scenery, set construction, safe rigging and staging equipment
• Working knowledge of sound design for the theatre.
• Strong knowledge and proficiency in IT, media technology, digital film recording/editing equipment, including Apple Mac/PC computers, GarageBand, photography equipment, projector setup, presentations, and specific theatre industry design programmes.
• Working knowledge of relevant polices/codes of practice/legislation.
• Understanding of Health and Safety.
