What will I be doing?

Ilchester children and staff are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and caring PreSchool Manager to lead our well-established setting through an exciting new chapter.

Our PreSchool is a warm and nurturing place where children are encouraged to be curious, confident and excited about learning. With a dedicated staff team, supportive parents and strong community relationships, we are proud of the environment we have created for our children.

We are looking for an inspiring leader who can build on these strengths, lead and develop our team, and work closely with families to ensure every child flourishes. Following our integration with the primary school, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of our provision, supported by our Early Years Leader and wider school team.

At Ilchester, our values of aspiration, curiosity, kindness, equity, belief and bravery underpin everything we do. If you share our passion for giving children the very best start, we would love to hear from you.

What you’ll do:

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the PreSchool in line with EYFS and Ofsted standards
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of practitioners to deliver outstanding childcare
  • Manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the local community
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain a safe, nurturing environment
