Adopt South West have offices across Cornwall, Devon, Plymouth, Somerset and Torbay and the successful applicants base would need to be within this area.
What will I be doing?
The post holder will be joining the quality assurance team where they will share these key roles:
- Management of the Quality Assurance Framework: managing audits, moderations and other aspects of practice improvements for Adopt South West, reporting to the senior management team
- Agency Advisor of ‘Best Interest Decisions’: quality assuring the paperwork and providing a report for the Agency Decision Makers to enable them to make decisions on a child’s plan for adoption.
- Training: overseeing and delivering training to Adopt South West and Local Authority staff
- Panel advisor for Adopt South West Adoption Panels: requiring attendance at adoption panels, quality assuring the paperwork for panels and training and recruitment for the central panel list.

The role of Quality Assurance Manager occupies a unique organisational position in Adopt South West, having oversight of the entire service through the Quality Assurance processes and systems. For that reason, the post-holder will act as a professional Practice Lead for the service, maintaining up-to-date expert knowledge of good practice and developments both regionally and nationally.
