About the job
Key information
- Fixed term contract for 10 months
- 28 days annual leave
- Opportunity to work from home
What will I be doing?
You’ll get stuck into sourcing candidates, writing job adverts, and designing recruitment campaigns for hard-to-fill roles, often using tools like LinkedIn to reach the right people.
Working closely with hiring managers, you’ll help them think differently about how they approach recruitment. Your ideas and expertise will shape the process, making it more effective and creative.
And you’ll be treated like a grown-up, with plenty of autonomy to get on with things your way, as long as you deliver the results. No micromanagement, no constant check-ins, just the space to do what you do best.
You’ll be able to work from home the majority of the time, with visits to our offices in Taunton as and when required (usually that’s no more than once per month – often less).
Done right, this role can have a real, positive impact on people’s lives. The right hire in the right place can make a huge difference to the people of Somerset – especially the most vulnerable.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
You might be an agency recruiter looking for their first inhouse role, or an inhouse recruiter looking for a little more creative freedom and a way to make a bigger impact. Either way, you’ll need:
- Experience in recruitment, either in-house or agency
- Good understanding of the challenges in recruiting specialist or hard-to-fill roles
- A proven track record of creating recruitment campaigns and writing optimised job adverts
- The know-how to source candidates directly, using tools like LinkedIn Recruiter or other CV databases
