Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service are looking to recruit two Risk, Insurance and Business Continuity Support Officers to strengthen our team:
- Permanent Full Time (37 hours per week)
- Permanent Part Time (14.8 hours per week)
Both posts are based at our Service Headquarters in Exeter and offer a competitive salary starting at £29,540 and rising annually to £32,061 (gross) per annum. The part time salary would be pro-rata these figures.
What will I be doing?
This is a varied and fast paced position where you will provide essential administrative support. You will play a key role in keeping systems, data and processes running smoothly, including;
- Maintaining risk registers, audits and insurance claims.
- Managing and updating systems (including Power Apps, Power BI and SharePoint).
- Producing reports and ensuring data accuracy and security.
- Coordinating meetings, taking minutes/notes and tracking actions.
- Liaising with colleagues, suppliers, insurers and external partners.
- Supporting system development and implementation.
- Handling general administration, enquires and financial processes.

- Ability to identify risks and issues and develop innovative solutions to problems.
- Ability to analyse and interpret data accurately and efficiently
- Experience of working with software systems
- Proven administration and time management skills
- Ability to produce and populate spreadsheets and software systems, prepare reports for senior management and action trackers
- Proven ability of working with MS Office software packages (MS365, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
