What will I be doing?

Webbers Church of England Primary School is a small, friendly and nurturing village school at the heart of the Holcombe Rogus community. Rooted in our Christian values, we pride ourselves on providing a welcoming environment where every child and family is known and valued.

We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, personable and efficient School Administrator to join our dedicated team. This is a pivotal role within the school, the backbone of our daily operations, offering a varied and interesting workload where no two days are the same.

Webbers Church of England is currently working closely with the Academies for Character and Excellence (ACE) as we strengthen our partnership, with a view to the school joining the Trust in the future.

The School Administrator is central to the smooth running of the school, acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies while providing essential administrative support to the Headteacher and staff team.

  • Managing front office and reception duties
  • Handling communications (telephone, email, newsletters, website updates)
  • Maintaining pupil records and school management systems
  • Supporting attendance monitoring and reporting
  • Processing orders, invoices and financial administration
  • Coordinating trips, events and admissions paperwork
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding and data protection procedures

This is a busy and varied position that requires someone who can balance multiple priorities with warmth, professionalism and discretion.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

The successful candidate will be highly organised, approachable and able to work independently while also thriving as part of a small team. You will have excellent communication skills, strong IT competence, and a commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding. Experience of working in a school office or similar administrative setting is desirable, though training can be provided for the right candidate. In return, we offer a supportive and welcoming team, delightful children, a strong sense of community, and the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the day-to-day life of our school.
