What will I be doing?
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Breakfast Club Supervisor to join our friendly team at North Newton Primary School. This is a rewarding role where you will help provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable start to the school day for our pupils. This could be on a job-share basis, if more than one candidate would be interested in this.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and supervise children attending the Breakfast Club
- Organise and lead fun, engaging activities suitable for primary-aged children
- Prepare and serve a light breakfast in line with food hygiene and safety standards
- Encourage positive behaviour and ensure the wellbeing and safety of all children
- Clear away breakfast items and activities, ensuring the area is left clean and tidy before the start of the school day
- Work collaboratively with school staff to create a positive and inclusive environment
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
- Enjoys working with children and has a warm, friendly manner
- Is reliable, punctual and organised
- Has good communication and teamwork skills
- Can use their initiative and remain calm in a busy environment
- Has an understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children (training will be provided)
Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential. A positive attitude, enthusiasm and a genuine interest in supporting young children are most important.
