Working Pattern*
- Term-time: 22.2 hours per week, over 3 days
- School holidays: 7.4 hours per week, over 1 day
*The working pattern is averaged over the year to 18.5 hours per week. The final schedule will be agreed with the successful candidate. Where employment commences part-way through the financial year, the pattern of hours may be adjusted to ensure the contracted average hours are achieved over the remainder of the year.
About Libraries Unlimited:
Libraries Unlimited is a charity running the 54 libraries across Devon and Torbay. We have over 300 members of staff working across our multiple locations. We are also an Arts Council England (ACE) National Portfolio Organisation (NPO), expanding our services to include high-quality arts and cultural events and activities for our users.
What will I be doing?
We’re one of Devon’s biggest charities, with a passion for enriching the lives of local people and communities through the power of reading. We’re looking to recruit to a key role overseeing our School Literacy Network (SLN), which supports teachers, schools and every child through practical resources, leadership guidance and a professional network. If you have a teaching background and want to help us to grow the SLN and a passion and love for reading, we’d love to hear from you.
This role will manage the creation of high quality, professional content for classroom teachers to use, run regular network sessions for members, and deliver training sessions – online or face to face – as required to member schools. The Manager will also market and grow the network, working with our inhouse teams, and provide support to subscribers.
