What will I be doing?
Come and join our vibrant and enthusiastic staff and children at St Paul’s CofE (VC) Junior School. We are a large and caring school in the heart of Shepton Mallet. We are looking for a committed Site Manager who will take pride in making St Paul’s an appealing and safe place for our children, staff and visitors.
We are looking to recruit a permanent Site Manager, who is friendly, proactive and dependable, to join our very special school in Shepton Mallet. This is a full-time position starting ASAP. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the maintenance, security, and day-to-day operations of the school grounds and buildings. We are looking for a “hands-on” professional who can manage external contractors, oversee health and safety compliance, and ensure that very little learning time is lost to facility-related issues.
The main duties will include:
- Keeping the school secure (opening and closing of the school site each day)
- Premises and operation leadership
- Compliance, health and safety and asset management
- Providing a clean, safe and secure environment for pupils and staff
- Ensuring that the management and maintenance of the school buildings are effectively undertaken
- Undertaking repairs and DIY where necessary
- Undertake supervising of cleaning on a daily basis
- Oversee building/maintenance projects
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
The successful candidate will be flexible in their approach, self-motivated, energetic and keen to work as part of a team. Previous experience of working in a school would be an advantage but not essential.
