What will I be doing?
Are you an adaptable and pro-active individual with a passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential? Do you have an interest in Science and want to make a real difference to the lives of young people?
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our dedicated team to support the Science provision to deliver exceptional lessons.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing practical and administrative support for the teaching of science and duties will include assisting with the preparation of materials and equipment for use in Science lessons and the routine maintenance of resources and equipment.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
This post may be ideal for candidates requiring flexibility to work around school hours or childcare arrangements or a young person working towards a science qualification or who has a general interest in Science.
A technician/laboratory background or experience of working in an educational setting would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
This is a busy role and will require the postholder to have strong practical skills, be conscious of health and safety and the ability to work flexibly with a positive “can-do” attitude and cope with competing demands. You should also have a commitment and interest in the wellbeing, support and achievement of students with the ability to establish positive relationships with pupils and staff.
