Term Time only 8:30am to 3:30pm

What will I be doing?

This Job Description is directed towards a TA role, typically within a mainstream school.

• To assist the Head teacher and teachers in the development and implementation of a programme of work and in the provision of a stable, caring and supportive learning environment, which enables pupils to achieve their full learning potential and facilitates their social and moral development.
• This role will necessitate access to sensitive and confidential records and information. It absolutely essential that all matters relating to school and the children are kept confidential. Breaches of confidentiality will result in disciplinary action or dismissal.

 

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced, reliable, conscientious and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, supportive and caring school.  Previous experience of working in a primary school with a sound understanding of providing high-quality support for pupils is desirable, as is knowledge and understanding of high needs children.

The successful candidate will also need excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate initiative, creativity and flexibility.
