What will I be doing?

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading SEND provision and ensuring pupils’ needs are identified, assessed and met
  • Overseeing and reviewing EHCPs, provision maps and SEND documentation
  • Supporting staff with strategies, advice and training to meet diverse needs
  • Liaising with outside agencies and supporting strong partnerships with families

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We are seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Primary SENCo to join our team on a part time basis for a one year fixed term contract, for one day a week. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead and further develop inclusive practice within a small, supportive school community.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo)
  • Have a strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation
  • Demonstrate effective leadership of SEND provision across the school
  • Have experience of working collaboratively with teachers, parents and external agencies
  • Be committed to inclusive, child centred practice and high aspirations for all pupils
  • Support and promote the Christian ethos and values of the school
