What will I be doing?

We are seeking a positive, calm and nurturing, teaching assistant to support a pupil 1:1 at our school. The successful candidate will be flexible and able to adapt to the immediate situation, working to the needs of the individual. Makaton Signing and/or some experience of working with children with Down Syndrome, as well as delivering speech and language support, would be desirable, but training will be available for the right candidate.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

The teaching assistant will need to have some experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs. This position will be subject to continued SEND funding.
