What will I be doing?

This role offers the chance to work closely alongside an experienced and qualified SENDCo within a small, friendly school setting, where collaboration and professional development are strongly encouraged.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the identification and provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Working with teaching staff to implement and review effective SEND strategies.
  • Contributing to the development of inclusive classroom practices.
  • Liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies where appropriate.
  • Assisting with SEND documentation, reviews, and provision mapping.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic qualified teacher to join our team as a Part-Time SENDCo. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified SENDCo or a teacher who is looking to work towards the SENDCo qualification and looking to develop their skills in a supportive school environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher with a passion for inclusive education.
  • Holds the National Award for SEND Coordination or is willing to work towards it.
  • Is organised, reflective, and committed to supporting pupils with a range of needs.
  • Works well as part of a team and is eager to learn from experienced colleagues.
