Are you an experienced change leader ready to make a real impact? Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service, the largest non-metropolitan Fire and Rescue Service in England, is on the lookout for a Senior Business Change Manager to join our Strategic Business Change team at our Service Headquarters in Exeter. This position is available on a permanent contract, working full-time (37 hours per week) and offers a competitive salary of £48,226 rising on an annual basis to £51,536 (gross) per annum.

What will I be doing?

You will lead and embed effective change management practices across complex programmes, working closely with senior leaders, project teams and stakeholders. Your focus will be ensuring change is well – planned, people-centred, and successfully adopted across the Service

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver change strategies aligned to organisational goals
  • Lead change planning and ensure smooth implementation and adoption.
  • Conduct change impact and business readiness assessments.
  • Engage, coach and support leaders and managers through change.
  • Oversee stakeholder engagement and communications planning.
  • Monitor impact, manage risks, and report progress to senior leaders.
  • Manage budgets and resources linked to change initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvement in change management practices.
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams delivering change.
