What will I be doing?

Are you passionate about SEND and inclusion? Do you believe the right relationships and the right provision can change a child’s school experience?

We are looking for a skilled, nurturing practitioner to take a leading role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), while also guiding and coordinating a small team of Learning Support Assistants based at our Junior School.

Working closely with the SENCo, teachers and senior leaders, you will help deliver high-quality, inclusive provision that enables every child to achieve their full potential.

You will deliver targeted interventions, support pupils to regulate and re-engage, and work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to ensure pupils remain connected to their class learning and make strong progress.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and support a team of LSAs to deliver effective SEN provision
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs
  • Plan and deliver targeted interventions for individuals and small groups
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and external professionals
  • Contribute to the planning, monitoring and review of pupil progress

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEN practitioner (or an aspiring HLTA) who is passionate about SEND. We value warmth, expertise, teamwork, and a solution-focused mindset.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience supporting pupils with SEN in a school setting
  • Is confident leading and motivating a small team
  • Demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills
  • Has a calm, patient and adaptable approach
  • Is committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
