• Start Date: Monday, November 3 2025
• Hours: 6 hours per day
• Pay: £12.85 per hour

What will I be doing?

We are looking for a kind, patient, and reliable Support Worker to assist a wonderful, bright and engaging non-verbal child. This role will involve supporting the child’s daily routines, encouraging communication through alternative methods (e.g., PECS, gestures, or assistive devices), and promoting independence and emotional wellbeing.

• Provide consistent, compassionate 1:1 support
• Support with communication and interaction needs
• Assist with daily routines and light personal care (nappy changes/handwashing)
• Encourage learning through play
• Work collaboratively with parents and any other professionals involved

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

• Experience with children with additional needs, particularly non-verbal communication
• Calm, patient, and empathetic nature
• Ability to build trust and rapport
• Basic understanding of alternative communication methods (training can be provided)
• Relevant qualifications or training in support work or special needs (preferred but not essential)
