We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and inspirational Class Teacher to join our team – and we are open to shaping the role around the right person.
Are you an ambitious and committed teacher looking for an opportunity to make a real difference? Do you want to join a friendly, supportive school where your ideas, strengths and contribution are valued? If so, we would love to hear from you.

Bampton C of E Primary School is a friendly, inclusive and ambitious Church of England primary school, situated in the heart of the beautiful Devon countryside. We are proud of our strong sense of community and our commitment to helping every child flourish academically, socially and emotionally.

What will I be doing?

We are re-advertising this position because, although we received interest in the role, we did not appoint on this occasion. Rather than being tied to a particular year group, we are keeping the position open so that we can be flexible and consider how we can best utilise the strengths, experience and interests of the successful candidate.

We are therefore keen to hear from teachers with experience across the primary age range. The final year group and responsibilities will be shaped around the right person and the needs of the school. This could be an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge, or for a teacher who has particular strengths or interests that they would like to bring to a school.

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about providing an engaging and inspiring education for children and who has high expectations of learning, behaviour and personal development.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

You will be someone who:

  • Builds positive and trusting relationships with children and families
  • Creates an engaging, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
  • Has high expectations for every child
  • Is committed to helping children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning
  • Works collaboratively and positively as part of a team
  • Is reflective and committed to their own professional development
  • Brings energy, enthusiasm and creativity to their teaching
  • Wants to contribute to the wider life and development of our school

Most importantly, we are looking for someone who will care deeply about our children and who wants to make a genuine difference to their lives and learning.
At Bampton C of E Primary School, you will become part of a warm and welcoming team where your contribution is valued.

What is in it for me?

  • A happy, caring and inclusive school environment
  • Enthusiastic children who are eager to learn
  • Supportive and committed colleagues
  • A strong sense of community
  • A collaborative team ethos
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth
  • The opportunity to shape your role around your strengths and experience
  • A school that is ambitious for every child
