What will I be doing?

Silver Bridge School is a special school for pupils aged 6 to 19 years, based in the centre of Taunton, Somerset. Our creative, individualised approach to learning, is centred around well-being and skills for independence.

Due to the growth of the school we are looking to appoint Classroom Teachers. This is an exciting opportunity to join us and be part of developing an innovative and progressive school.

The teacher who secures this position will be required to teach students at both a primary and secondary level.

We understand the importance of building meaningful relationships with pupils and families to nurture growth and development of relational milestones such as, building trust and sharing enjoyment. Care and making connections are at the heart of our ethos and we work hard to ensure that all staff feel cared for too.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic teachers who are open to learning a modern approach to teaching pupils with social, emotional, mental health needs. Our teachers and leaders are empowered and supported to design the curriculum activities to meet the needs of their children.

We are creating a diverse community of professionals and would welcome applications from a range of backgrounds including unqualified teachers who have vocational specialisms, NQT’s, primary, secondary and FE. We have a strong emphasis on learning through physical activity and developing vocational skills, so if this is your passion please get in touch.
