What will I be doing?
Ashlands Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work alongside our class teachers to provide a stable, caring, stimulating and supportive learning environment, which enables pupils to achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.
The core purpose of the role is to work with the class teachers to ensure all pupils are engaged in their learning and are making sustained progress, as well as promoting pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. This will be through 1:1 and small group sessions.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
The ideal candidates will
- Have previous Teaching Assistant experience and a good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Have a commitment to supporting and understanding pupil needs
- Possess a positive, ‘can do’ and flexible attitude and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team; and
- Have Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or be prepared to work towards gaining Level 2 of the National Qualifications framework.
