What will I be doing?
We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our team, either someone with experience or a willingness to learn and train. This post would suit someone who wants to help improve the outcomes for our SEND students and enjoys working with young people, with all the challenges and rewards that may bring. A core role will be to provide a high standard of pastoral care for students through mentoring and to give support to students, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.
Core Purposes of the Post:
- To work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of students.
- To promote students’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
- To provide a high standard of pastoral care for students through mentoring.
- To give support to students, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement.
