What will I be doing?

Are you looking for an exciting and interesting role, working in a great primary school, with fantastic enthusiastic children? We are seeking people who are confident and enjoy working with children, supporting them to be the best that they can be.

Teaching Assistants are responsible for supporting teachers with providing a highly effective learning environment for all children. They support the teaching and learning by working with groups of children and individual children with special educational needs. They also support with the social and emotional wellbeing of all children, including supervising children and promoting good behaviour when they are at play at breaktimes and lunchtimes.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who:

  • Has experience of working with children, ideally in a primary school setting
  • Has experience working with children with SEND, including 1 to 1 support of children with an EHCP
  • Is calm, positive and approachable
  • Is a team player and willing to turn their hand to almost anything!
  • Has achieved a Grade 4 GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
  • Is resilient and has a good sense of humour!
