Teaching Assistant Part time Term time only Maternity Cover

Salary: Grade 15 Hourly rate: £12.45 to £12.64 (depending on experience)
Hours of work: 1.15pm – 3.15pm, Monday to Friday
8.35am – 11.45am, Wed & Fri AM

Incorporated with Lunchtime Supervisor Term time only Maternity Cover

Salary: Grade 16 Hourly rate: £12.26
11.50am – 1.15pm, Monday, Tuesday & Thursday term time only
12.15pm – 1.15pm Wednesday & Friday

We are looking for a teaching assistant incorporating a lunchtime supervisor role for maternity cover from mid-February 2025 to end of December 2025.

The ideal candidate will calmly reinforce the excellent work of the teaching staff by supporting individuals both within and outside of the classroom environment either in a group or on a one-to-one basis. You will be a professional role model to the pupils, with the confidence to challenge and the creativity to motivate.

You will be working in an environment where the little things that you do every day could have life-changing results. Your ambition for the young people you support will help them take steps to fulfilling their potential. Flexible, adaptable and enthusiastic, this role will mainly support the curriculum in Key Stage 2 but you will also be required to support EYFS.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

What experience or qualifications would I need?

Ideally you will have a Teaching Assistant qualification or experience in working in a similar role, but more importantly you will have:

  • Good English and Maths skills to GCSE level or equivalent;
  • A clear understanding of strategies to motivate all pupils;
  • A flexible approach to their work and ability to work as part of a class and team;
  • A passion for making a difference and is committed to our Christian values;
  • The ability to take initiative and support where required;
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people;
  • To be confidential and discreet concerning pupils and their needs.
