- Grade 14 NJC points 4-6 – FTE £25,185 – £25,989 (Pay Award pending)

What will I be doing?
We’re looking for a Technician in the Science Department who is organised, enthusiastic, and excited by the buzz of a busy school laboratory. This is a role at the heart of learning, working behind the scenes to support fantastic teaching, and helping students discover the wonder of science.
What you’ll be doing:
- Preparing exciting practical experiments across biology, chemistry and physics
- Keeping our laboratories safe, organised and fully stocked
- Supporting teachers to deliver engaging, practical science lessons
- Maintaining and caring for specialist equipment
The successful candidate should be able to start work before school to enable the preparation of lessons for the day, however some flexibility regarding the hours is possible for the right candidate.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
Applicants should be enthusiastic, patient and flexible, demonstrate initiative, have excellent communication and organisation skills and be a team player. Previous experience in a similar role or an interest in science is desirable however the successful candidate will be given suitable on the job training.
