Dovecote School is an Ofsted-registered independent special school (ages 5–18) supporting pupils with autism and associated needs and SEMH.
What will I be doing?
To provide therapeutic and educational support for students with complex social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, including autism, ADHD, trauma, and PDA, promoting inclusion, development, and well-being.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
- HLTA status or equivalent qualification; GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
- Proven experience working with children or young people in an educational setting; experience delivering lessons or interventions
- Understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies; confident classroom management skills; excellent communication and organisation; ability to adapt quickly across subjects and age ranges
