What will I be doing?

Are you looking for a rewarding career change that allows you to make a real difference to the lives of young people in Somerset?

Role Overview:

As a Workshop Tutor, you will work directly with young people, teaching them valuable skills and delivering entry-level qualifications in construction. Ideally, you will have other practical skills such as carpentry or CDT. You will work closely with our team of Youth Workers to deliver engaging and practical sessions in our workshop in Bridgwater and other community settings. This may involve some countywide travel.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

Due to the continued growth of our Alternative Education Provision (AEP), Young Somerset are looking to recruit a Workshop Tutor with practical teaching skills or industry experience in construction.

This role would suit someone who is keen to pass on skills and knowledge to a new generation. Previous experience of working with young people would be a real bonus.
