What will I be doing?

We are looking to appoint a Work Experience & Industry Placement Adviser to co-ordinate work experience activity across our Bridgwater College. The successful candidate will be student focussed, with the students’ interests at the heart of what they do to ensure all learners attain valuable work experience and / or industry placements to enhance their achievement and progression and support their career aspirations.

You will be able to establish and develop strong relationships with employers and have a clear commitment to ensuring these relationships remain long standing by demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will equally be confident with working with 16–18-year-olds, helping them to locate a suitable placement.

As a Work Experience & Industry Placement Adviser you will be organised and have the ability to effectively prioritise and manage your workload. You will ensure that all students are placed in an environment appropriate to their career aims, and during their scheduled work experience dates, ensure that all administration, including health & safety checks are complete.

Candidates should tailor their personal statement to demonstrate how they meet the requirements of the job specification and criteria ensuring all points are addressed.
