What will I be doing?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and committed learning support assistant to join our team supporting pupils. There will be a level of 1:1 support and lunchtime supervision within this role. Our school is a thriving primary serving the village of Nether Stowey and surrounding areas. We enjoy close links with the community and church and we are well supported by our families. With our great team, who support each other and work closely together to maintain high expectations for all. We are continuing our exciting journey, striving for the best for all our pupils.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
The successful candidate will:
- Have experience in working with primary aged children;
- Be hardworking, flexible and highly organised;
- Be able to work independently and as an integral part of the existing team;
- Be a consummate professional, with excellent basic skills in literacy, numeracy and spoken English;
- Have a clear understanding of the safeguarding frameworks and the requirements of the Keeping Children Safe in Education and Working Together to Safeguard Children;
- Be willing to undertake any training associated with the role;
- Be resilient with a good sense of humour and the passion to make a difference and place the children at the heart of all they do.
- Have the ability to use initiative in responding to the needs of children;
