What will I be doing?

Wincanton Cares is recruiting a Benefits Officer to build on the work of our current postholder and help older, vulnerable residents across the BA9 postcode area access the financial support they’re entitled to.

We believe that the future of care lies in local solutions. By supporting residents to claim benefits such as Attendance Allowance, Carers’ Allowance, Pension Credit, Blue Badge applications, and charitable grants, we empower them to purchase the support they need; stimulating our rural economy and strengthening community wellbeing.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

What we’re looking for:

• A compassionate communicator with a strong understanding of the benefits system
• Someone who thrives working independently and flexibly
• A commitment to equity, inclusion, and safeguarding
• Experience supporting older adults or unpaid carers is a plus
