Salary Range: ECT or MS 1 – 6 (Full-Time or Part-Time / Job Share considered)

An opportunity has arisen for someone to join our friendly village primary school as a Class Teacher. Combe St Nicholas is a small church school in the heart of the village of Combe St Nicholas, Somerset. It was rated “Good” by OFSTED in September 2022 and “Excellent” by SIAMS in December 2019. It is an inclusive school committed to giving an excellent, broad education for all.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

The Governors would like to appoint a teacher who:

• Is extremely motivated and enthusiastic about approaching learning in innovative ways, in line with our whole school approach
• Is committed to high quality teaching and learning
• Has high expectations and is passionate about working with children
• Is a good team player
• Has the ability to inspire pupils and colleagues to develop their potential to the full
• Is resourceful, flexible and will to contribute to the wider life of the school
• Has an excellent understanding of safeguarding procedures and commitment to keeping children safe in our school.
• Supports and embraces the Christian vision and ethos of the school
• Has experience of more than one Key Stage (not essential)
