What will I be doing?

Combe St Nicholas is a small church school in the heart of the village of Combe St Nicholas, Somerset.  It was rated “Good” by OFSTED in September 2022 and “Excellent” by SIAMS in December 2019.  It is an inclusive school committed to giving an excellent, broad education for all.

We are looking for a part-time teacher to join our friendly and supportive team, on Thursdays and Fridays in the first instance.  We are looking for someone who is available from the beginning of the Spring Term (January 2026) or as soon as possible after that.

The role is to cover a Year 2/3 class for half day on Thursday mornings, and then to work in our Reception class, which is part of our wonderful Early Years Unit, on Thursday afternoons and all day on Friday.

 

 

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

This is a temporary role for 2 terms in the first instance, pending a staffing review.  We are seeking a teacher, with experience of mixed age classes, who will embrace our project-based approach to the curriculum and who is willing to throw themselves into the life of our busy school community.
