Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS2 Teacher to join our passionate team. The ideal candidate will share our values and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality education that promotes the holistic development of every child. This role requires someone who is adaptable and flexible in their teaching approach, able to set high expectations while catering to the individual needs of all learners, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
What will I be doing?
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow and comply with the teacher standards
- Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that foster a love of learning and curiosity among KS2 students
- Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and mutual support.
- Demonstrate excellent subject and curriculum knowledge, ensuring lessons are relevant, stimulating, and meet national standards.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies that uphold high expectations while nurturing positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic needs of students, including those with SEND.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Key Stage 2 students, preferably within a primary school setting.
- Demonstrated ability to promote good progress and achievement for all children, including those with SEND.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to plan effectively and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
