  • Grade 16: £24,413 (pro-rata), £12.65 per hour
  • The hours of work are currently 11:40am to 1:20pm, Monday to Friday
  • To start as soon as available, pending notice period.

What will I be doing?

We are seeking to appoint a new member of lunchtime staff to join our school team and help to support the children during the lunch period. Applicants should be able to work as part of a caring and professional team, have good organisational skills and demonstrate initiative.

The main duties of this role include:

  • Maintaining the dining area to the highest standards of cleanliness
  • Supervising and assisting the children whilst they eat
  • Erecting the dining tables and laying them ready for meals
  • Clearing and supervising the cleaning of crockery, tables etc. after meals have been eaten
  •  Maintaining a calm atmosphere and encouraging positive relationships and behaviour
  • Supervising the children in the playground
  • Helping to ensure playtimes are safe and full of fun for the children

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?

The applicant should either have a Paediatric First Aid certificate or be willing to undertake this training and either have level 2 Food and Hygiene certificate or be willing to undertake the online training.
