What will I be doing?
St. John’s C of E VC Infants’ School & Jumping Johns Nursery are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative, and committed Nursery Manager to lead and develop our nursery provision. This is a full-time role, including two days per week of dedicated administration time.
Our nursery in Glastonbury is an integral part of our school, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 2 to 4 years. We believe in fostering a love for learning through play, allowing children to explore and discover at their own pace. Our facilities include a swimming pool as well as expansive grounds with a paddock area for outdoor adventures and nature-based learning experiences.
As part of our school community, the nursery lays the foundation for a lifelong love of learning, supporting a smooth transition into the wider school environment. Every day, we encourage children to grow in confidence, curiosity, and creativity—truly embodying our school motto: “Let Your Light Shine.”
Provide strong leadership to ensure high-quality childcare and early years education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted requirements.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
You will hold a Level 3 childcare qualification (or equivalent) and have experience as a Nursery Manager or Assistant Nursery Manager, with excellent leadership and communication skills.
