We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for an inspiring and committed Nursery Manager to lead and further develop our thriving nursery provision from September.
Our nursery is a valued and successful part of our school community, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for giving children the very best start to their educational journey. This is an exciting opportunity to build on an already strong foundation, working alongside a supportive team and forward-thinking leadership.
We welcome applications from:
- An experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner (Grade 12, SCP 12–19), or
- A qualified teacher on the Main Pay Scale (M3–M6)
What will I be doing?
Ofsted stated:
“The Early Years curriculum is ambitious for all children and ensures children get the support they need to thrive academically and personally.”
The post holder will be working in a busy nursery, linked to the school, and will have operational and strategic oversight of the provision and work closely with the EYFS leads and the head teacher.
You will need to be efficient, able to multi-task, prioritise and have a can-do attitude. Ideally, the right candidate should be willing and able to take the nursery to its next stage of development and work with the school’s vision for nursery expansion.
Responsibilities will include:
- Working to the early years framework, ensuring that all children achieve their potential and are given opportunities for growth and development.
- Line management of nursery staff and rotas.
- All administration for the nursery, preparing invoices to parents, funding applications, working closely with the Office Manager regarding income, expenditure and grants.
- Working with external agencies and the schools SENDCo in relation to children’s development and identifying areas of additional needs.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
The candidate must have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification. Ideally, the post holder would hold an appropriate Level 6/7 qualification or better, for example, Foundation Degree in Early Years Childcare and Education, Early Years Professional Status or a Qualified Teacher Status.
The post holder must also hold:
- GCSE English and Maths grade C or above
This position is offered as term time only plus two inset days. However additional hours may be required from time to time to support the needs of the nursery.
The successful candidates will join a friendly and supportive team of staff, who are committed to achieving high standards for all pupils.
What is in it for me?
Why join us?
- The opportunity to lead and shape a highly regarded nursery provision.
- A supportive and collaborative school community.
- The chance to make a lasting impact on children’s early learning and development.
- A commitment to staff wellbeing and work-life balance.

- Part-time working
- Pro-rata contracts
- Term-time only working
- Other flexible arrangements by agreement
We strongly encourage applications from candidates seeking flexibility and would welcome a conversation about how this role could work for you.
