What will I be doing?
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our great school at the heart of a thriving village community. We are looking to appoint a caring, supportive SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team.
The governors are looking for a dedicated, full time, one to one SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team, focusing on providing tailored, one-to-one support for a pupil with specific educational needs. You’ll work collaboratively with the SENDCo and class teacher, adapting the curriculum where necessary to ensure its accessible and effective.
The ideal candidate will be compassionate to the needs of children and will specifically have the ability to work 1:1 with a child with special educational needs & disabilities.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
The successful candidate will:
- Have an understanding of how to form good working relationships with children
- Be enthusiastic, resilient, patient, adaptable and resourceful
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Have great communication and organisational skills
- Be experienced in supporting children and able to meet the curriculum demands of Maths and English throughout the School.
An interest in and or experience of Forest School is desirable although not essential. We have the most amazing outdoor grounds and are always looking to make the best use of our environment.
