What will I be doing?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join us in September with proven experience working in both KS1 and KS2. The post be will Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 1.20pm. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual who is committed to supporting children to thrive. The successful candidate will work both one-to-one and with small groups of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning and achieve their potential. The role also includes a 50-minute lunchtime supervision duty each day.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
The successful candidate ideally will:
- Have previous experience of working with children in an educational setting.
- Have previous experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Be experienced working in both key stages.
- Be positive, approachable and work effectively in a team.
- Be willing, as required, to work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils who need additional help and support.
- Be patient and supportive of children with learning needs or those with social and emotional difficulties, whilst also having high expectations for them.
- Promote good behaviour in pupils.
- Have a good standard of English and Maths and a sound understanding of ICT.
- Be confident and willing to turn his/her hand to almost anything!
- Be professional when using the phone and liaising with parents.
