What will I be doing?
Combe St Nicholas is a small church school in the heart of the village of Combe St Nicholas, Somerset. It was rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED in September 2022 and ‘Excellent’ by SIAMS in December 2019. It is an inclusive school committed to giving an excellent, broad education for all.
We are looking for a temporary Teaching Assistant to join our team starting at the beginning of the Spring Term (January 2026). The role is for 2 terms initially and is likely to involve working 1:1 supporting children with additional needs for part of the week, as well as small group intervention work. The role also includes working in our Breakfast Club (which opens at 7:45am) 3 days a week as well as some lunchtime supervision.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
Although previous experience is not required, we are looking for someone with a willingness to embrace life in a busy school, who is happy to be flexible as the role will be quite varied across the week, and who enjoys working with children and helping them to learn, play successfully and develop an unique individuals.
