What will I be doing?
We are seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join us at Chewton Mendip CEVA Primary school where compassion, high standards and expectations are at the heart of what we do. Children come to school and are valued for who they are and are developed in a friendly and nurturing environment, with a strong sense of community in a beautiful rural village setting.
What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We are looking for candidates who are or have:
- Experience working with and supporting children with SEND
- A positive role model and team player
- An excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills
- Someone with a ‘can do’ attitude, with high expectations for themselves and others
- Someone who is resilient and looks for positive solutions
- Passionate about improving the life chances of every child regardless of need.
- High expectations of children and staff with a commitment to raising standards.
- Is a reflective practitioner.
- Supervision both inside the school and outside on the playground
- To maintain a calm atmosphere and encourage positive behaviour.
- Can build strong relationships with parents and other stakeholders.
- Supports our school vision
- Is fully supportive of the Christian ethos of our Church school.
