Specialist Teaching Assistant is required for Children with English as an Additional Language (EAL) to join our friendly team

12 hours per week Monday – Friday term time only

Salary: Grade 12 £28,598 – £32,061 pa pro rata (£11.49 – £13.20 per hour)

What will I be doing?

We are seeking to appoint a reliable, conscientious, flexible and experienced EAL Teaching Assistant to provide small group and 1:1 support to children from Reception to Year 6. The role will involve working with children who have developing EAL skills and also new arrivals. The post will include liaising with class teachers and working with our EAL Co-ordinator to identify areas of focus and to contribute towards the assessment and monitoring of children’s needs.

The successful candidate will require the ability to work independently and to plan and provide activities and interventions that enable children to develop and improve their language skills.
